Who we are

  • Mrs Win Sheldon

    Chair of Governors

My family has lived in Dorset for over thirty years. We have practised our faith within the parish throughout that time. My husband and I have two grown up children and celebrated the birth of our first Grandchild just before Christmas. I retired last year from a long career in education , where I had been a Headteacher of a successful Catholic Primary School in Dorset. I have always found having contact with schools to be very fulfilling. It is a great privilege to work with professional and committed staff, who enable children to grow and learn in a safe and happy environment. I look forward to having the opportunity to support the community of St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s, which provides the children with a Christian environment which celebrates them as individuals and encourages them to develop positive attitudes to learning.

  • Mrs Aimee Longmoor

    Parent Governor

  • Miss Karen Cheeseman

    Foundation Governor

  • Mr Nick Salt

    Community Governor

I have recently retired to this area from North London where I was a governor of a primary school federation for many years and more latterly the chair. I have three grandchildren in the school who are happy and doing well.

By profession I was the manager of a barristers’ chambers for more than 40 years, before more recently retiring to become a freelance legal consultant, specialising in business development.

I care passionately about primary education and take my role as a governor very seriously.
